Quick Homemade Taco Seasoning Recipe

Start to Finish: 5 minutes

  • 1 tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 tbsp. cumin powder
  • 2 tsp. coriander powder
  • 2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 2 tsp. oregano
  • 1 tsp. onion powder or flakes
  • 1 tsp. smoked paprika
  • 1/2 - 1 tsp. chili flakes (optional, if you like it really spicy)
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper

  1. Clean a leftover glass spice jar and dry thoroughly.
  2. Place a small funnel into the mouth of the spice jar. Then add all the spices into the jar through the funnel.
  3. Place the lid on the jar and give it a shake to combine.
  4. Alternatively, if you don’t have a leftover spice jar to use, mix all of the ingredients in a bowl until combined. Store the spice mixture in a small airtight container.

Depending on how strong you like your meat flavoured, this will be enough spice mix for 1-2 meals.
