Move over, margarita! Halloween and Día de los Muertos are right around the corner, and this Mexican-inspired tequila drink is the perfect accompaniment to your spooky soirée.

Our keto Paloma cocktail recipe features many of the same elements as the traditional version, including a salt rim, soda water, fresh lime juice and good-quality tequila (we used blanco, but you can go with reposado, too).

However, the addition of Bulletproof Unflavored Collagen Peptides makes it unlike anything you’ll ever find on a drink menu in Mexico. Plus, thanks to low-glycemic monk fruit sweetener, there’s no need for simple syrup or agave nectar in this tequila cocktail. We also swapped in grapefruit club soda instead of sugary grapefruit juice. The end result: the perfect balance of citrusy bliss.

  • Squeeze the fresh lime juice into a high-ball glass. Add tequila, followed by grapefruit soda, monk fruit sweetener and collagen.
  • Stir thoroughly. 
  • Use a lime wedge to moisten the rim of a separate glass and sprinkle with black lava salt.
  • Fill the glass with ice. Pour the Paloma cocktail mixture carefully into the glass filled with ice. 
  • Garnish with a skewer of Turmeric Gummies.
  • Toast to Halloween and enjoy!
