Application Overview:
FedEx has deployed a 3-tier, open database, and 100% Java enterprise project management system called ObjectPMPro. This system was built with JDesignerPro by 4Sight Technologies, a leader in project management, long range planning and production scheduling systems. The product is fully multi-threaded to leverage the power of multi-processor systems. It runs as a desk top application or as an applet through any Java enabled browser for world-wide interactive access to the project data.

About the Solution:
FedEx users can employ ObjectPMPro’s dynamic modeling and project visualization technology to plan, schedule, and control their projects through any web-browser from anywhere in the world. By applying this system at the multi-billion dollar FedEx aircraft maintenance planning division, FedEx has been able to much more effectively control the immense task of supporting their fleet. This saves them time in a business where time is what they sell.

What is your favorite thing about JDesignerPro?

---"My favorite thing about JDesignerPro is the general ease with which the whole application gets deployed. The tool's ability to take us from beginning through deployment removes much of the harder stuff we don't want to worry about, like access control and scalability."

How long did it take to complete the application?

---""It's a work-in-progress, but the main system was about 9 months. However we have a very complex application. Most of changes are small now and can be done in short order. "

---"When we started with JDesignerPro two years ago, we were learning Java, now we are experts."
