Process Management

In the BulletProof Enterprise Server, a server process becomes a "job", any number of which can be queued and scheduled to execute based on external events or at a certain time. Similar to the way businesses use the IBM AS/400® to manage application execution like end-of-day sales reconciliation, reporting, etc., Intranet developers can now do the same with the BulletProof Enterprise Server on non-mainframe systems. Today’s application servers are Windows NT, Netware 5 and various UNIX systems, but none support management of server-side processes through scheduling, prioritizing and queuing, yet this is the reason why so many businesses use the AS/400 platform.

The Server Manager

At the heart of the new BulletProof Enterprise Server is a management console, the Server Manager, for controlling the execution of server-side business applications and logic. This powerful Java-based graphical interface allows scheduling, prioritizing, queuing and logging functions. Server push, connection management, notification and much more are supported.
