February 2, 1999, Los Gatos, Calif. – BulletProof Corporation released today the integrated version of the firm’s widely used Java tool and application server, JDesignerPro 3.0, with Novell Directory Services (NDS). BulletProof has incorporated the NDS user information and authentication features with JDesignerPro’s authentication and application deployment system. With the integration of these products, Novell customers can leverage NetWare 5 as an application server platform while maintaining a single point of login and administration. Intranet-wide Java solutions can be built and deployed easily on their NetWare 5 investment. Currently no other Java tool set offers such NDS integration. NDS Integration

JDesignerPro is unique among Java tools because it provides a built-in deployment and authentication system. Now the finished Java applications can be dynamically tied to NDS user identities. This gives secure control over deployment to the application administrator while alleviating the need for separate password protection. NetWare 5 users have the benefit of accessing the JDesignerPro system from within the NetWare Administrator screen, which allows them to assign rights to Java applications to any set of users with the ease of drag and drop.

The JDesignerPro 3.0 Standard Development System is available today for $995.
