Many New Features
JDesignerPro 2.5 is BulletProof’s most important release to date. BulletProof has added features in the application builder, the Deployment Manager and on the server. These new features improve ease of use and speed across the development tool and during client-side execution. By implementing BulletProof’s new FastSockets technology throughout the system, JDesignerPro 2.5 users can develop and deploy in even less time with more stability.

New FastSockets Technology
JDesignerPro 2.5 includes for the first time a new Java server system called FastSockets^TM. JAGGServer^TM, BulletProof’s application server and integral part of the development and deployment processes, now uses this technology extensively. FastSockets is a new method for handling client requests and application delivery that dramatically improves performance. It does this with intelligent monitoring of client connections to JAGGServer and optimization of the use of those sockets. FastSockets is a seamless implementation that requires no coding by the developer and works across standard Intranets and the Web.

Application Wizards
JDesignerPro is well known for its easy to use Screen Wizards that allow finished Java client-side interfaces to be built with absolutely no knowledge of the Java language. In JDesignerPro 2.5, BulletProof has redone these as components in the Application Builder. This way programmers and non-programmers alike can benefit from these powerful wizards. By simply dragging a wizard component to the form, users can build searchable and updatable forms, master details, smart grids, charts, reports and even e-mail integration. All the components, SQL, server messaging, database access and pure Java code are created for the user. Each of the components can be modified separately in the Application Builder for further customization.

Other New Features
BulletProof has also included new date and mask formatting including integrated Year 2000 compliance, international language support, source code archiving, extended component properties lists and much more.

Pricing
The JDesignerPro 2.5 Standard Java Development System, including the JAGGServer application server, is now only $695. BulletProof will be increasing this price to $995 effective April 9, giving a 30-day grace window to developers at the current lower price.
