 Afterburner for the Palm Afterburner is a third party hack for the Palm that allows the speed of the Palm to be increased by altering the frequency of the chip and making some other hardware adjustments. We have tested it on a Palm Vx and have seen about a 50% improvement in speed without any side effects. You can download it from the following link. Note that it is shareware and requires a small registration fee if you decide to use it for more than testing. The following screen shot shows the settings that we used on the Palm Vx. Depending on the device that you are using these may need to be different to achieve the best compromise between speed and stability.
